The new bulletin from InfoLink Consulting, on the costs of inputs and components of the international photovoltaic production chain, was released this Thursday (18).

The highlight of last week was the 2.2% drop in price of 210mm P-Type wafers, which reached a average cost of US$ 0.262 per piece.

In turn, the 182 mm Type-P wafers – as well as Type-N – did not suffer from oscillations of prices on the global market in the last seven days.

In relation to other components of the photovoltaic chain, the study also did not identify major changes.

The research, however, highlights that the demand for polysilicon grew again, with buyers resuming negotiations and ending the market freeze.

Although the value of the input in dollars has remained stable over the last week, in Chinese currency both piece and granular polysilicon suffered drops of 8.8% and 12.7%, respectively.

With respect to price of photovoltaic modules, Infolink Consulting points out that the majority of deliveries in China were for GC (centralized generation) projects.

However, there was no significant difference in the values practiced in the last week compared to the previous one. “The future price of the component will depend on the manufacturers’ sales strategies”, highlights Infolink Consulting.
