On November 10th and 11th, the city of Salvador (BA) hosted the 6th edition of the Brazilian Distributed Generation Congress (CBGD). According to the event organizers, the congress received around 5 thousand people over the two days.

The fair provided visitors with lectures on trends in the photovoltaic solar market and the exhibition of equipment and technological innovations from companies in the sector.

“We found the fair to be super organized, many integrators, I believe more than a thousand visitors per day, main brands present and we felt the members of Salvador (BA) were very open and eager for new things”, highlighted Fernando Castro, country manager at JA Solar Brasil.

The manufacturer JA Solar presented his 550W single-face panels, its +590 W monofacial and bifacial modules and highlighted the creation of its bonded warehouse. In addition, the company also exhibited its 410 W monofacial modules, +450 W mono and bifacial modules and +535 W mono and bifacial modules.

As for Guilherme Nagamine, director of L8 Energy, CBGD exceeded expectations regarding public participation. “Many integrators working in the region are very interested in getting to know distributors and new solutions better, in addition to being able to update technical information with manufacturers.”

“We presented new features in BIPV such as the Solar Tile, flexible Thin Film modules, solar lighting, and we also presented the recent partnership as a Huawei Gold distributor”, he added.

“The event went beyond expectations, we were apprehensive about participating in the fair, but we can see that it was very productive, that the market is very heated, people are interested in Fronius and want to know a little more”, said Thais Bitencourt, manager marketing department at Fronius do Brasil.

The manufacturer Fronius presented the Tauro inverter at the fair, developed to serve large plants that need greater power to meet their energy consumption.

According to the company, the models differ in the practicality of maintenance that can be carried out at the installation site. Fronius also presented the new GEN24 Plus hybrid inverter range for homes.
