The MME (Ministry of Mines and Energy), through the National Secretariat for Energy Transition and Planning, framed 199 energy projects renewable electricity generation infrastructure at the REIDI (Special Incentive Regime for Infrastructure Development).

Of the total, 90 are photovoltaic projects located in the states of Bahia, Goiás, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso do Sul, Pernambuco, Rio Grande do Norte, Rio Grande do Sul and Tocantins.

Another 106 are wind farms located in Bahia, Ceará, Pernambuco, Piauí and Rio Grande do Norte; and three are water projects in Paraná and Rio Grande do Sul.

What is REIDI and how do I request it?

O REIDI is a program that offers tax breaks for companies that invest in infrastructure projects considered strategic for the country development.

Enterprises included in the program have their contributions suspended. PIS/Pasep and Cofins for five years, relating to acquisitions, rentals and imports of goods and services.

The main objective of the initiative is stimulate private investment in crucial areas, such as energy, transport, basic sanitation, telecommunications and other sectors related to infrastructure.

Private legal entities that have projects for the implementation of transport infrastructure works within the scope of the Ministry of Infrastructure can request REIDI.

Application for approval of infrastructure project framework: submission of an application accompanied by the documents/information contained in the article 5 of GM/MInfra Ordinance nº 105, of August 19, 2021, with a view to approving the framework of the project for the implementation of transport infrastructure works. Access the website.

Consideration of the Project Approval Request: analysis and technical manifestation by the Secretariat of Development, Planning and Partnerships of the Request and the documents presented, and analysis and manifestation by the Legal Consultancy with the Ministry of Infrastructure.

Edition and publication of Ordinance and/or archiving of the process: approval or rejection of the project's framework will take place through an Ordinance from the Ministry of Infrastructure, published in the DOU. The Process will be archived after the Ordinance is published in the DOU, as well as in the event that the applicant has not presented the requested documents or information.
