It is not customary to write articles, I was prompted and here I am. I take advantage of the period around Christmas and the end of the year that makes us more reflective. In my career as an executive, there are many challenges facing companies and managing people towards a common goal.

Having been at JA Solar for just over three years, I evaluate its history in parallel with my learnings. A brand born in 2005 through the courage, leadership and synergy with the energy sector of our founder, Jin Baofang.

A decade later, the investment bet on Brazil, arriving in 2015 with the baggage of being part of the world leadership in the production of photovoltaic modules, and the humility of someone who knows that improvement and evolution are constant.

In 2020, I started my contribution to JA Solar, coming from the market and with strong expectations, aware of the challenge in leveraging presence and the strong expectations about the Brazilian market. Initially alone, I started formatting the local team along with setting up a local bonded warehouse to serve customers.

Today, with an office in Jundiaí, São Paulo, a team of 12 professionals comprise the areas of sales, marketing, engineering, warehousing and technical support for Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMA).

A team with joint efforts to achieve the company's objectives. Among the results, the increase in local sales from 0.15 GW in 2020 to 1.4 GW at the end of 2022, a growth of 840% anticipating a two-year target. Along with the brand recognition in Brazil highlighted in the Greener and Fotovolt Consulting report, jumping from 9th position in 2020 to 3rd in 2023.

Even with polysilicon price variations, restricted availability influenced by the war between Russia and Ukraine in 2022, and oversupply in this 2nd half of 2023, we managed to remain reliable suppliers to customers, reinforcing my conviction that Expansion in the market is attributed to commercial partnerships, orchestrated relationships with the sales channel and sincerity in relationships.

The excellent result in Brazil, in addition to investments from our headquarter, is the merit of the joint work of clients such as Aldo, Amara, Ecori, Faro, Fortlev, PHB, (re)energisa (formerly Alsol), Ribeiro and Win and their excellent professionals.

In addition to new partners such as Bold, WEG and RZK. JA leaders around the world also replicate successful examples of partnerships as a foundation for solid growth.

I consider it opportune to highlight the performance and resilience of the local team as a whole in this “extremely dynamic” environment, the short training videos on YouTube that have already reached more than 130 ml views, and the new Communication and Marketing Campaign with the theme “What are your greatest memories” with a short video now available on our YouTube channel about the legacy of JA’s 18 years of existence, which I invite everyone to watch.

If tomorrow is built by today's actions, projects confirm the environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) responsibility that the company already carries out in China and is promoted in Brazil.

I cite as an example, the joining forces with the São Paulo Cancer Hospital (GRAACC), specializing in pediatric oncology. With monthly contributions, JA is one of the companies that helps the hospital pay expenses that exceed R$ 15 million per month.

Taking responsibility for leading one of the largest manufacturers of photovoltaic modules in the world here in Brazil drives and challenges me, but shows me the certainty that maturity comes with time, but mainly it is built through the challenges faced and experiences.

Finally, I wish all customers, partners, employees, friends and the market in general a great Christmas and I wish you a hopeful 2024, full of achievements and lots of positive energy!

Merry Christmas and happy new year!圣诞快乐,新年快乐!
