ABGD announces Business Council during event in São Paulo

A ABGD (Brazilian Association of Distributed Generation) announced the new Business Council, with the aim of contributing to the evolution of GD in Brazil.

The news was announced last week, during the Leadership Meeting carried out by the entity, in São Paulo (SP).

The Leadership Meeting brought together members of the executive board, deliberative council and business council, regional and specialized directors, and leaders of ABGD member companies.

Second Guilherme Chrispim, president of ABGD, “the objective with the creation of the Business Council is to listen to other business actors in the sector and contribute to generating opportunities for member companies, stimulating networking and also business possibilities”.

Among the names announced to join the Council are Bernardo Marangon, CEO of Exata Energia.

“The existence of a Business Council is very important for our segment. Contrary to what many may think, distributed generation involves a series of challenges, not only operational, but also regulatory, legal and fiscal”, highlights the businessman.

According to Marangon, it is an opportunity for people to share the daily problems of their companies, in addition to suggesting solutions and organizing themselves to contribute to the evolution of the segment”.

Furthermore, Arthur Sousa, CEO of GDSUN, a reference company in the national photovoltaic solar sector, will also be part of the Board. The executive will debate the challenges and promote opportunities in the sector in favor of the growth and democratization of DG (distributed generation) in Brazil.

Sousa also states that the Council will have an important consultative role and will be fundamental in guiding demands from the DG segment and seeking to expand dialogue with the public and private sectors.

The event also debated the projections for the distributed energy generation sector and commented on the main projects for the association.

“I believe that together, we can open paths for both the business, residential and agribusiness areas, and make the class of companies cooperate with each other to leverage business and generate even more opportunities in the solar energy sector”, highlights Ítalo Pra Neto, director from Nexen.

According to him, the Business Council is an opportunity to contribute to the development of solar energy in Brazil and help the sector.
