To the communities of the state of Acre residents in remote areas will have clean energy supply through photovoltaic solar generation. O More Light for Acre Program, was established by Law No. 4,280, sanctioned last Wednesday (20) by governor Gladson Cameli.

“This is a partnership with Grupo Energisa and the Secretariat of Social Assistance and Human Rights [SEASDH]. Together with Sefaz [Secretariat of Finance] and Seplag [Secretariat of Planning], we seek legal mechanisms for the State to pay for solar panels that will bring energy to more than 600 families”, highlighted the governor.

According to the Law, to be a beneficiary of the Mais Luz para o Acre Program, the consumer unit must be a beneficiary of the National Program for Universal Access and Use of Electric Energy – Light for All. Furthermore, the benefit is limited to just one system per consumer unit.

The energy distribution will be carried out by the responsible concessionaire which, in the case of the state of Acre, is Energisa. “The government of Acre entered into this partnership, to subsidize the energy bills of these families, and this is very good, as we are bringing electricity and development to these locations”, said Ricardo Xavier, president of Energisa in Acre.

According to the government of Acre, 2,300 homes have already received the implementation of solar energy, still in the year 2022, and for the years 2023 and 2024 more than 6,000 connections will be made. All these consumer units will be paid for by the government of the State of Acre.
