Aegea, a private basic sanitation company, and Brasol, a company that operates with GD (distributed generation) of energy, put four solar plants into operation at Oeste Solar Park, in Cuiabá (MT).

Named Águas de Poconé, Águas de Primavera, Águas de Sinop and Águas de Campo Verde, the plants – which occupy a space of around 200 hectares – were installed with the aim of meeting the energy consumption of Aegea concessionaires in the municipality.

In total, the companies invested around R$ 8 million in the construction of the plants – which, together, total 1.55 MWp of installed power, with an estimated generation of 2.6 GW per year.

The companies also intend to expand the partnership and execute six other projects together, totaling ten projects built, which, together, would total 7.9 MWp and an investment of R$ 50 million.

Oeste Solar Park

Opened in 2019, Oeste Solar Park was the first solar energy park to be installed in the Brazilian Center-West.

The venture was created with the aim of offering small and medium-sized companies a solution for sustainable electricity consumption, with savings of up to 20% on the electricity bill.

The solar distributed generation subdivision is located at km 9 of Estrada da Guia, in Cuiabá (MT).
