Aldo and Deye form a partnership to promote the MLPE market in Brazil

A Aldo Solar, a company that acts as a distributor of solar energy solutions, entered into a partnership with the Chinese manufacturer Deye, to sell microinverters throughout Brazil, with local stock and prompt delivery.

The agreement provides for the Brazilian company to sell the Asian company's equipment in Brazil and, in doing so, consolidate its participation in the MLPE (Module-Level Power Electronics) segment.

According to Thiago Gomes, after-sales director at Deye in Brazil, the partnership with Aldo Solar is extremely important for everything it can represent in the national photovoltaic market.

The executive highlights that the Brazilian company's operations, especially in the North and Northeast regions, are fundamental to improving consumer access to the Chinese company's solutions.

“I see this partnership as a win-win. It is good for Aldo, who will have a new niche in the market, which is MLPE, which stands for module-level power electronics, and for us, who will expand distribution capillarity”, he explained.

Gomes also said that the partnership with Aldo will also help Daye increase the company's market share in the microinverter segment in Brazil, which is currently at 23%. “The objective is to reach 30% of market share by the end of the year and the partnership with Aldo will be essential for us to grow even further”, he highlighted.

Joaquim Fernandes, commercial director at Aldo, said that the company had been studying the microinverter market for some time and was looking for a technology suited to the needs of the Brazilian market.

“We are very excited about this partnership, as we found in Deye a solution with a cost very close to that of string inverters in payback. Furthermore, the microinverter guarantees more productivity on roofs with different orientations, monitoring is at panel level and installation can be carried out more easily”, he guarantees.

One of the equipment that will be sold by Aldo in the country, for example, will be the SUN2000 – a technology that, according to the companies, has great versatility, greater efficiency, safety and modularity in photovoltaic projects.

The novelty will be available with solutions from 4 to 12 panels between 1.8 KW and 6.48 KW and the two companies estimate that more than 20 thousand units will be sold in the country every month. The two companies also believe that the micro inverter market in Brazil should reach 500MW of installed power in 2022.
