In an exponentially growing market such as photovoltaic energy, one of the premises of Aldo Solar – a distributor of equipment for generating solar energy – is to spread the idea that success can and should be shared.

As part of its policy of giving back to society for its own business growth, Aldo invested more than R$ 1.5 million in its sustainability program. The objective is to promote social actions and contribute to initiatives to support health, sport and culture.

In 2019, for example, R$ 265 thousand were allocated, via the Federal Culture Incentive Law, to projects that had Pequeno Príncipe, the largest pediatric hospital in Brazil, located in Curitiba, as a benefiting institution.

The institution's executive director, Ety Cristina Forte Carneiro, highlights that, without the support provided by companies and other supporters, it would be impossible to invest in assistance, teaching and research.

“We were able to close this account with the support of different sectors of society and with the work of our wonderful fundraising team, who work tirelessly with excellence and compassion. All children are little princes and little princesses and, with everyone's unity, we will guarantee the right to life, education, culture and equity”, commented Ety.

Covid-19

Concerned with health-related issues, Aldo also participates in combating the consequences of the coronavirus. The company is making solar energy equipment available at cost price capable of guaranteeing the supply of essential devices such as respirators, fans and lighting, which will function as an emergency energy generator, mainly in field hospitals or in locations without a network.

According to Aldo Teixeira, president of Aldo Solar, in the case of Pequeno Príncipe, it is not just a sponsorship or contribution of values, it is a way of repaying all the work they dedicate to society.

“Regarding the initiative of offering equipment at cost price, it is an action in which everyone wins: we help in a global emergency situation in which any assistance is important and we manage, even if to a lesser degree than normal, to keep the company in activity and therefore consequently, maintain jobs and the entire chain. Only in this way can we continue on our path and help those in need”, concluded Teixeira.
