Since 2012, the solar energy sector in Brazil has been constantly growing. Today, there are more than 518 thousand generators installed in the country, totaling 6.16 GW of installed power, according to data from ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency).
Of this total, almost a third, around 150 thousand generators, were sold by Aldo Solar. This mark reached by the company represents one generator sold every three minutes.
Furthermore, the number of generators sold is equivalent to an approximate power of 1.5 GWp and more than 4 million solar panels distributed in projects across the country.
“We reached the mark of 150 thousand generators sold and this is wonderful, since the photovoltaic solar energy sector is one of the main catalysts for the economic recovery”, highlights Aldo Pereira Teixeira, founder and president of Aldo Solar.
“This is thanks to the entire community of resellers and installers who support us. And, without a doubt, to consumers who believe in sustainability and the possibility of generating their own energy”, he adds.
The executive also highlights that the number of sales is significant as it represents a bet for the post-pandemic economic recovery. In 2020, the solar distributed generation segment was responsible for attracting R$ 11 billion in investment in the country and creating approximately 75 thousand new jobs.
