The distributor of photovoltaic equipment Aldo Solar was purchased by a private equity fund from Brookfield. The press office confirmed the information to the Solar Channel on Thursday night (5).

The value of the transaction was not revealed and the negotiation should be closed by the end of this month. Upon completion of the sale, Aldo Teixeira Pereira, founder of the company that bears his name, will continue as CEO of the company and will have a seat on the board.

“We have come a long way and we are very proud of what we have achieved so far. We were one of the first to believe in the solar sector in Brazil, we are pioneers in sustainability, and this transaction will help us go even further, expanding our offer to a rapidly expanding market,” said Teixeira.

The company has more than 40 years of history and since 2015, it has been offering solutions for generating photovoltaic solar energy. There are more than 20 thousand generator models available on the website and ready for delivery.

The company works with sales according to the needs of each consumer, as well as individual equipment. Among the items offered are solar panels, inverters, structures, string-box, batteries, LED lighting, transformers, as well as accessories for other purposes.

At the beginning of last month, the company reached the mark of 160 thousand solar generators sold in Brazil, which is equivalent to a generator sold every three minutes and an approximate power of 1.5 GWp.
