Alsol, a subsidiary of Energisa, announced this Monday (31) the purchase of companies from Grupo Vision, a company specializing in solar DG (distributed generation), located in Minas Gerais. The acquisition value is estimated at up to R$ 75.6 million.

The contract was signed last Friday (28) and the conclusion of the operation is subject to the verification of precedent conditions, which will be applicable to each group of companies, usual for transactions like this, including approval by Cade (Administrative Defense Council Economic).

According to Alsol, the acquisition is part of the strategy to diversify businesses that are not related to regulated electricity distribution.

With the completion of the purchase, Alsol will become responsible for the operation of up to 41 photovoltaic DG units, which, upon completion of the contributions and reinforcement works necessary for the implementation of the projects, will be able to add up to 136 MWp to the portfolio of the Energisa subsidiary in next three years. Currently, Alsol's installed capacity is 69.2 MWp.

Alsol's vice-president of Energy Solutions, Roberta Godoi, responsible for the areas of distributed generation, energy trading on the free market and value-added services, highlights that the purchase of Vision is part of Energisa's growth plan for the coming years .

“We started 2022 by putting into practice one of the fronts of our growth plan. The expansion of our renewable energy portfolio is in line with the diversification strategy. This acquisition is an important step towards consolidating Energisa as an energy solutions platform for B2B customers in Brazil”, says Roberta.

The executive adds that Energisa also wants to leverage non-regulated businesses, with centralized generation projects, distributed generation with other energy sources, in addition to expanding the portfolio of added services and energy commercialization.
