Photovoltaic energy rental brings savings of 20% to 30% on the electricity bill at the end of the month. This is what companies in the solar sector say Edsun It is Evolve Energy.

Edsun, a startup that operates in seven Brazilian states, claims that the savings are up to 30% on the electricity bill, from solar energy rental. Also according to the startup, which operates in seven Brazilian states, this method is more viable and less bureaucratic, as the project is installed and approved in the system with the concessionaire.

According to the company, the photovoltaic system is purchased, which is rented to the end consumer, guaranteeing management and performance. The possibility is that the reduction in energy bills will reach up to 90% over the years.

Cristiano Meditsch, CEO of Edsun, explains how the idea of offering solar energy rentals came about. “When we started Edsun we realized that the initial investment to generate solar energy was high, which kept many customers away. Our solution was to buy the equipment and offer management and maintenance of the photovoltaic plant, generating an immediate reduction in costs for the customer, who does not need to invest anything”, he reports.

According to the startup, the growth escalation takes place through a platform that attracts investor partners who want to use the resources to obtain solar plants. In this way, small and medium-sized investors have the possibility of exchanging traditional applications for sustainable investments with lower costs, such as solar energy.

Following the same savings plan, Evolua Energia entered the market to guarantee a discount of up to 20% on the local distributor's bill. According to the company, in Minas Gerais alone, photovoltaic plants will be built with more than 50 MWp in total installed power by 2021, and, to this end, it will invest around R$ 160 million in the construction of photovoltaic plants, which should generate 700 new jobs.

Evolua also informed that the service does not require investment in the property, as subscription takes place completely digitally, with customers choosing between one of the three available plans, which will compensate for electricity consumption through injection into the grid. from the local distributor. In the end, this process generates credits for the consumer.

Tarcísio Neves, CEO of Evolua, talks about the company's entry into the photovoltaic market. “In the strategy designed for Evolua, we plan to start the business in Minas Gerais since the state offers the ICMS exemption benefit (exemption from goods circulation tax) in shared generation. In the medium term, however, the idea is to expand this initiative to other regions.”
