A ANAC (National Civil Aviation Agency) signed, this Tuesday (18) with the VINCI Airports, O first term specific to admission in regulatory sandbox, with the aim of implementing a lighting system for taxiways, landing and take-off, with photovoltaic energy.
With unprecedented use in civil aviation, technology will be tested at Tabatinga and Tefé airports, both in Amazonas. The novelty consists of the use of primary sources for aircraft lighting when carrying out night beaconing.
'Instead of the lighting system being connected to an electrical current, the tool will have its own lighting source at each point, reducing the chance of several points going out when the aircraft is landing, in the event of an irregularity in the power supply. energy”, explained ANAC.
According to the Agency, in this way, night operations become safer, as the marking will remain visible to the pilot. “Brazil is the first country to test the system for taxiing, landings and takeoffs”, they highlighted.
The regulatory sandbox, specific and conditioned authorization, granted by regulatory bodies, was established to enable the adoption of innovative solutions by companies, new technologies that are not yet supported by current regulations.
