A ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) announced, last Friday (24), the application of the green flag for energy tariffs in the month of July, without a supplement to the tariff.
According to the Agency, the flag, which signals favorable conditions for generating electrical energy, will be valid for all consumers connected to the SIN (National Interconnected System).
Green has been the color of the flag on these consumers' invoices since April 16, when the Water Scarcity Flag, established by CREG (Chamber of Exceptional Rules for Hydroenergy Management), ended.
For consumers benefiting from the social tariff, who did not need to pay Water Scarcity, the flag has been green since December 2021.
According to ANEEL, since the brands were created, they have generated savings of R$ 4 billion for consumers, because they avoid the incidence of interest on generation costs in less favorable times.
