ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) reported that the tariff flag for the month of March 2023 will remain green. The announcement was made by the Agency last Friday (24).
According to ANEEL, the maintenance of the green flag was due to the favorable conditions for generation in the country.
“The signage indicates that there will be no additional cost on consumers’ electricity bills, scenario that has remained since April 2022”, stated the Agency.
“The green flag, valid for all SIN (National Interconnected System) consumers, reflects the improvement in hydroelectric reservoir levels, benefiting from the rainy season”, added ANEEL.
The general director of ANEEL, Sandoval Feitosa, highlighted the importance of maintaining the green flag, which demonstrates the supply of sufficient electricity to meet demand. The flag system “enables consumers to know the status of energy generation on a monthly basis”.
