ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) approved, this Thursday (06), the tariff adjustment for Equatorial Energia Pará. The distributor serves around 2.7 million consumer units located in 144 municipalities in the state.

The change in values will come into effect from Friday (07). According to ANEEL, the adjustment was impacted, in particular, by energy transmission and distribution costs. See the new values in the table below:

The average effect of high voltage refers to classes A1 (>= 230 kV), A2 (from 88 to 138 kV), A3 (69 kV) and A4 (from 2.3 to 25 kV). For low voltage, the average includes classes B1 (Residential and low-income residential subclass); B2 (Rural: subclasses, such as agriculture, rural electrification cooperative, rural industry, public rural irrigation service); B3 (Industrial, commercial, services and other activities, public authorities, public services and own consumption); and B4 (Public lighting).

This Thursday, the agency also approved the tariff adjustment of the concessionaire EDP-ES (Espírito Santo Distribuição de Energia), which serves approximately 1.6 million consumer units located in 70 municipalities in the state.

According to ANEEL, this adjustment was impacted, in particular, by the payment of sectoral charges, energy acquisition costs, with emphasis on the purchase of energy from the Itaipu plant priced in dollars, and energy transmission costs.

Covid Account

According to ANEEL, the Covid Account loan dampened the readjustment rates to be noticed in the accounts of consumers in Espírito Santo and Paraná.

For consumers in Paraná, Conta-covid contributed to softening the impact of the adjustment by -6.03%. For customers of the EDP-ES concessionaire, the contribution was -6.64%. Other factors that contributed to reducing the effect of the concessionaire's readjustment were the consideration of the PIS and Cofins credit in the present process at the concessionaire's request and the adjustment of the amount to be paid as an Energy Development Account, which also contributed to reducing the readjustment.

More information about tariff adjustments can be consulted on the agency's website or on the ANEEL Consumidor app, available for Android or IOS mobile devices.
