The general director of ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency), André Pepitone, will sign the approval of 12 grants for the installation of new photovoltaic plants in the Santa Luzia region, in the state of Paraíba. The information was released by federal deputy Efraim Filho (DEM-PB), coordinator of the Paraíba bench, on his social networks.
The estimated investment for the construction of the projects is R$ 2.4 billion in private resources, which should generate more than 28 thousand jobs. The new plants will act as independent energy producers and each will have 50 MW of installed power, totaling 600 MW across the complex.
Representatives of the Federal government, the governor of Paraíba, João Azevêdo (Citizenship), and the federal bench, as well as deputies, mayors of the region, councilors, university rectors and authorities from the local judiciary.
In June this year, the government of Paraíba had already announced the construction of two major investments in the solar energy sector, which involved the construction of a solar park and the installation of a panel factory.

As of early Wednesday morning (29), the state of Paraíba had 264 MW of installed solar power, 126 MW in DG (distributed generation) and 138 MW in GC (centralized generation), according to data from ANEEL.
In the DG segment, the northeastern region has 9.65 thousand solar systems installed in the energy compensation system. Of the 223 municipalities that make up the state, almost 95% (210 cities) have at least one solar generation source in operation.
In the GC modality, Paraíba also has 29 solar power plant projects in the construction process that has started and not started, which together will generate 1.93 GW of power in the state.
