A ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) announced that keep following the work of energy distributors EDP-SP, Elektro and ENEL RJ regarding the restoration of energy on the coast of southeastern Brazil after heavy rains in the region.
According to EDP, the Company ISA CTEEP reported, this Tuesday (21), the compromise of the structure of a tower on the São Sebastião – Bertioga Transmission Line.
As a result, the transmitter identified the need to carry out emergency works to mitigate the effects and avoid worsening the situation. The measure does not imply interruption of energy supply to consumers.
The Agency informed the MME (Ministry of Mines and Energy) of the actions taken to expand monitoring to other transmission structures in the region.
EDP also reported that this Tuesday it was possible to restore supply to around 2 thousand consumer units. According to the company, until yesterday afternoon (21), 97% of its customers already had normalized service. Only those who live in areas still closed by Civil Defense remain without supply.
