ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) started the Inspection Campaign for Plants with CUST (Transmission System Use Contract) signed and without works having started.

According to the Agency, inspection actions will be carried out throughout the first half of 2022 and the selected companies will be notified later this month.

The campaign’s actions will feature the participation of ARCE (Regulatory Agency of the State of Ceará) and the ARPE (Pernambuco Regulatory Agency).

The first phase of the campaign, which began in January, consisted of identifying projects that have a contractual commitment to the transmission system until the end of 2022 and that have not started work.

The selection criteria followed the following:

  • Works not started;
  • Installation license issued;
  • Deadline established in the grant to begin commercial operations by the beginning of 2023;
  • CUST signed and the MUST (Amount for Use of the Transmission System) beginning until December 31, 2022.

Based on the indicated criteria, 73 projects were selected, totaling 3,116.05 MW of granted power. Inspection is a responsibility carried out by the SFG (Superintendency of Supervision of Generation Services).
