ANEEL launches application for consumers to monitor electricity bills

The application is available for Android and IOS operating systems

In an innovative action committed to transparency, ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) launched an application for cell phones called ANEEL Consumidor, which will function as a new access channel to bring electricity consumers even closer to the agency, with simplification of service and detailed information on issues such as the composition of the electricity bill.

The application is available for Android and IOS operating systems. The platform facilitates the registration and monitoring of ombudsman requests (complaints, suggestions, praise and reports), provides guidance on the main procedures related to energy supply and general information about the electricity sector.

One of the main services offered is “Understand your Account”, through which the consumer can learn how the items that make up the value of the energy bill work, using interactive simulations for residential customers' electricity bills.

The available tariff calculations take into account the reality of each distributor, to be selected by the user, but do not include information on taxes such as ICMS, PIS/Cofins and public lighting fees.

On the platform, the consumer can view the participation, in their account, of the different components that influence the tariff, such as energy costs, transmission, distribution, charges and the Tariff flag.

The application also allows viewing the history of demands registered with ANEEL and access to different sector information, such as the current tariff flag, information about distributors, a list of consumer rights and duties and a link to the ANEEL website.
