Huawei, through its subsidiary Huawei Digital Power, in partnership with HDT, exclusive representative in Brazil, signed an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with the company BelEnergy.

By 2023, the companies will collaborate to reach the 300 MW mark in products and solutions offered by Huawei, developing the photovoltaic market. HDT and BelEnergy are committed to cooperating in the development of projects using Huawei Fusion Solar technology.

“We intend to expand the use of renewable energy and accelerate the digitalization of the electricity sector in Brazil, promoting carbon neutrality in various sectors of the economy,” said Huawei.

The company's photovoltaic technology has a set of solutions, from inverters, optimizers, to the intelligent string energy storage system, which has the ability to improve storage power by 15% and yield by up to 30%.

Another difference highlighted by the company is that the inverters support intelligent AFCI arc protection, and automatically turn off in 0.5 seconds, guaranteeing the safety of the systems.

In the 11 years of operation in Brazil, digital technologies developed by Huawei helped generate 3.9 billion kWh and reduced the country's carbon emissions by 1.8 million tons, the equivalent of 2.5 million planted trees.

“This new partnership will help boost the company's business in the country, expanding the use of renewable sources and accelerating the development of a low-carbon economy,” said Mason Qing, president of Huawei Digital Power in Brazil.

“It is a pleasure to have HDT as our newest partner. There is no doubt that the partnership will be very successful, as with HDT and BelEnergy together we will be able to reach the 300 MW mark in commercialized products in 2023”, emphasized Sérgio Lucas Junqueira, CEO of BelEnergy.

For Bruno Monteiro, CSO of HDT Brasil, this alliance will provide greater capacity for manufacturing solar kits, logistics and expanding the scope of operations in the national territory with the Huawei portfolio, “a leader in all segments in which it operates, and which defines technological trends of the sector”.
