A BYD Energy will open, in the coming months, three new logistics centers distributed in the main points of the country: Northeast, South and Central-West. This expansion will increase storage capacity by 50% of the company, going from 1 GW to 1.5 GW per year.

“The opening of new CDs in Porto Alegre and Goiás in the first semester, and in Northeast, in the second semester, shows our ability to deliver kits in Brazil”, he said Marcelo Taborda, director of sales at BYD Energy.

“We will serve our customers in a more dynamic and assertive way. In some cases, we will be able to deliver within a day or two and we hope to attract new installers with this”, he explained.

According to the manufacturer, with a logistics system in place, placing an intelligent component storage tripod, it will be possible to make deliveries increasingly quickly.

“We know how important the deadline is, especially when the issue is a replacement part or even an installation, which involves an investment with an expected return. The market generally takes 30 to 45 days to make a delivery. We will cut logistics time in half without losing quality”, highlighted Taborda.

He highlighted that the initiative to launch new distribution centers arose from the need to optimize delivery times and, at the same time, offer increasingly better after-sales to consumers.

“Talking to our buyers, it was possible to identify that delivery time is one of the main factors that affect the customer’s experience with the brand. Anyone who purchases a product expects it to arrive within the estimated time frame. Delays result in frustration, dissatisfaction and even hinder the investment project”, concluded the executive.

Storage capacity

Each BYD Energy DC will have the capacity to store an average of 20 MW in photovoltaic modules. All will continue to leave the company's factory, located in Campinas (SP). The complete line works with mono and bifacial products, ranging from 450 W to 670 W.
