A BYD presented at Intermodal 2023, which took place between February 28th and March 2nd at the São Paulo Expo, in São Paulo (SP), its portfolio in clean energy generation and storage, electric mobility It is green logistics.
The solution encompasses the acquisition, storage and application of energy and is scaled by photovoltaic modules, hybrid or off-grid inverters, lithium batteries, vehicle chargers, cargo handling equipment, trucks, vans and electric cars.
“This is the company’s proposal to create a zero-emission ecosystem to tackle global warming through practical actions, to benefit future generations through sustainable technologies to help cool the Earth by 1°C,” he highlighted. Henrique Antunes, Director of Sales and Marketing at BYD Brasil.
“The acceptance of people who were at Intermodal was impressive. We show that we are the only company in the country that has a sustainable solution from the sun to the wheel”, he added.
Electric forklifts
During Intermodal, which brought together around 40 thousand visitors, BYD Brasil also displayed the new RTR 20 reach truck, which is 100% electric and has a load capacity of two tons.
The equipment guarantees autonomy for three shifts, with partial recharges (without memory effect), allowing full recharge in up to two hours, compared to eight hours for traditional lead-acid.
Electric truck and monorail prototype
Another attraction was the BYD eT7 12.220 electric 100% multi-vocational truck. The vehicle has 230 km of autonomy and is capable of operating in a wide range of applications.
According to the manufacturer, the model has a total gross weight of 12 tons and is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery, which guarantees autonomy and total safety and adaptation to the needs of the fleet.
Still as a highlight of the event, the company exhibited at its stand a prototype very similar to the monorail of the future Line 17-Gold of the São Paulo Metro, which will connect Congonhas Airport to Morumbi Station, in São Paulo. The monorail trains are being built at the BYD factory in Guang'na, China.
Electric car
Finally, the company exhibited the BYD Yuan Plus EV midsize SUV at Intermodal 2023, which was recently launched in Brazil and is the first A-class model built on the brand's e-Platform 3.0.
According to Adalberto Maluf, director of Communication, Sustainability and Institutional Relations at BYD in Brazil, “the Yuan Plus EV represents the next generation of electric cars, with innovative concepts and great differences in the market, especially intelligence, efficiency, safety and design” .
