Caixa Econômica Federal announced this Monday (8) that it will launch a new line of credit aimed at individuals to finance the installation of photovoltaic solar energy systems in homes.
The credit, called “CAIXA Renewable Energy for individuals”, will have rates starting at 1.17% and will allow financing of up to 100% of the implementation project. Although the bank has not yet announced the start date of the new line, it should be made available soon in its branches.
The financing will have a grace period of up to six months to pay the first installment and the payment period will be 60 months. The credit line will have two types: one without guarantees and the other with collateral from fixed income financial investments.
“The adoption of the residential photovoltaic energy generation system can reduce the value of the monthly energy consumption tariff by up to 95%. In addition to a social benefit, the measure contributes to sustainability and preservation of the environment with the generation of clean and renewable energy”, says the statement.
In addition to the line for individuals, the bank also announced three more lines of credit, one aimed at legal entities (the MPE Ecociência), and two for the agribusiness sector (Low Carbon Agriculture and Inovagro). All initiatives aim to support sustainability actions and energy transition to renewable matrices.
