A Chamber of Deputies announced, this Tuesday (07), the installation of new photovoltaic modules. The three plants, already distributed throughout the complex, should generate savings of approximately R$ 800 thousand per year.
According to Casa, investment in photovoltaic solar energy began in 2021, aiming to fulfill the sustainability agenda.
Furthermore, they stated that the production of clean and sustainable energy is present in debates and votes in the Chamber and that the initiative is a practical example of the importance of the issue in society.
“Apart from the practical aspect, there is also the symbolic aspect of the Chamber of Deputies signaling to society its commitment to sustainable management”, highlights Luiz Vicente Braga, coordinator of EcoCâmara.
According to Ismael Guimarães, director of the Agency's technical department, the estimate is that, with current rates, the return on investment will be obtained in six years.
