The president of Chamber of Deputies, Arthur Lira (PP-AL), told the press that House parliamentarians should focus efforts in discussion of agendas focused on the renewable energy in this second half.

According to him, the The intention is to prioritize projects on the subject while the Senate analyzes tax reform. Among the matters to be analyzed, Lira said that topics such as market carbon credits, green hydrogen It is offshore wind should be debated.

“We made it available to all leaders to work very hard in the second half of the year on green agendas, renewable energy agendas, green hydrogen, carbon credits and offshore wind energy. So, we will focus (on these issues) while the Senate will most likely be discussing tax reform as a priority,” he said, as shown in the audio below.

Currently, several proposals related to the renewable energy sector are being processed in the Chamber of Deputies. One of them is the PL 412/2022, which aims to create a regulated carbon credit market in the country, the text of which was promised for analysis by the House in August.

The offshore wind project (PL 576/2021) remained stalled in the Chamber after sectoral differences between the deputies involved. The document has a direct link with the regulation of green hydrogen, which appears in another bill (PL 2308/2023) to be analyzed by deputies.
