Photovoltaic equipment manufacturer Canadian Solar and Valmont Solar, a Valley Irrigation brand, signed a partnership with the aim of promoting photovoltaic energy generation in the DG (distributed generation) segment in Brazil.
“Canadian had been looking for a strategic partnership in the Brazilian market. And we see and believe this at Valmont. From now on, we will not only have a product delivery solution, but an installation solution also made by Valmont”, said Crstiano Piroli, director of operations at Canadian Solar.
“The robustness of the group, the way they work, the market penetration and the capillarity they have are very similar to Canadian in terms of product. Therefore, it is a partnership that will bring a huge gain to the Brazilian client as they now have two multinationals focused on the solar sector, covering agribusiness in a very strategic way”, he explained.

Another important point highlighted by Piroli is that with this agreement, Valmont and Canadian will now have more than 80% of the solution in-house. “It is another guarantee for the end customer, not only of delivery, but also of the quality of the plant”.
Fábio Yanagui, general manager of Valmont Solar, also commented on the partnership between both companies and highlighted that such synergy will be of utmost importance for the DG segment in the country. “We have more than one hundred resellers across Brazil, focused on the agro market and the photovoltaic sector. Furthermore, we also produce fixed structures. So, in this sense, we will have availability in terms of projects and products for the end customer”, he emphasized.

Canadian, as a reference in the manufacture of photovoltaic equipment, sought a partner to approach this market segment that has shown a record of installation and is one of the most promising in the solar industry”, added Pedro Alves, general manager of Canadian Solar for Latin America .
