In 2023, the Germany will host the first global H2V auction (green hydrogen). Organized by H2Global, the event will negotiate products derived from the hydrogen gas production process, such as green ammonia, green methanol and sustainable aviation fuel based on electricity (e-SAF).

The expectation is that this first event will attract interested parties from all over the world and, as a hydrogen certifier, the CCEE (Electric Energy Trading Chamber) launched, this Friday (03), a open letter to possible interested in the Brazilian market in participating in the operation.

As an operator of the Brazilian energy market, CCEE has access to all electricity contract records in Brazil, managing the measurement of energy generation and consumption throughout the national territory.

In this way, they stated that they are able to have details on the information base about the generation process of all agents and, in this case, also of possible H2V operators in the country.

Thus, the organization will act as a strategic supporter of companies interested in participating in the auction and a certifier in the case of possible winners.

Documentation

To participate in the auction, bidders must present a set of documents to qualify in the first stage of the process.

CCEE released an open letter to help those interested in passing this qualification stage, stating that the certification will follow the standards established by Germany.

According to the guidelines in the notice, all documents must be presented in German, therefore, the letter published by CCEE has versions in Portuguese, English and German, and can be accessed through from this link.
