The CCEE (Electric Energy Trading Chamber) released the first estimate for the new calculations of the concession extension, which will be offered as compensation to plants that adhere to the renegotiation of the GSF (hydrological risk) in the ACL (Free Contracting Environment).

According to the projection, after accounting for the adjustment of the right factor of plants already renegotiated in the regulated market, a value of R$ 19.9 billion is reached for the financial impact of the factors considered in the process.

“This amount will be passed on to the generators that accept the proposal through an expansion of concessions. The average time for this postponement will be 864 days in the new scenario, or 2 years and 4 months. The previous result, sent for approval analysis in March, predicted an average extension of 683 days, or 1 year and 9 months”, said the CCEE, in a note.

The Chamber also reinforced that the data is based on a preliminary reading of the rule changes necessary after the approval of one of the requests sent to ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) by the agents.

“The CCEE will await the deliberation of the other requests that are being discussed by the regulatory body’s board of directors to assess the time needed for the calculations to be redone”, highlighted the statement.
