A Jinko Solar announced today (28) the achievement of a new world record with its 182 mm N-type monocrystalline silicon solar cell.

The result was confirmed by the National Institute of Metrology of China and has a conversion efficiency of 25.7% – an increase compared to October 2021, when they reached 25.4%.

According to the company, a series of material upgrades were integrated into the cell process, manufactured on a high-quality CZ Mono-Si substrate.

Among the improvements are material purification at high temperatures, advanced diffusion, semi-transparent metallization and HOT technologies developed by the company.

For Jin Hao, CTO of Jinko, the record is a major advancement for TOPCon N-type cell technology and an important milestone in the development of innovative products and solutions.

“We are constantly investing in technology upgrades to achieve cost-effective mass production and increase the competitiveness of our N-type products in the market,” concluded Hao.
