Located in the municipality of Gravataí (RS), Cervejaria Fil is aiming for productive growth in its revenues for 2022 and solar energy is one of the protagonists of this perspective.

In December, the company installed a photovoltaic system that meets around 94% of its production demand and the objective is to increase 50% of production this year.

According to the projection of technicians from Elysia, the company that installed the technology on site, the system will provide savings of R$ 36 thousand, just in the first year of operation or 87% of the establishment's monthly energy cost.

According to Felipe Fleck, co-owner of the Rio Grande do Sul brewery, the economy will even be one of Fil's competitive levers.

“We have already installed the solar panels with an expansion in mind. Today, the brewery's electricity consumption is very high, we use it on a large scale in production and stock maintenance,” he said.

Fleck further explained that even before investing in clean energy, the company always focused on environmental sustainability in the production model. On the farm where the business operates, in the rural area of Gravataí, the team reuses water and feeds the farm's animals with barley waste used in production.

In just one year of operation, the photovoltaic system will allow Fil to stop emitting 23,500 kg of CO2 into the atmosphere, which is equivalent, for example, to the planting of 592 trees in the same period.
