The former superintendent of Regulation of Generation Services at ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) Christiano Vieira was appointed this Friday (21) as the new Secretary of Electric Energy at the MME (Ministry of Mines and Energy).
He arrives to replace Rodrigo Limp, who recently assumed the presidency of Eletrobras.

An electrical engineer graduated from UFPE (Federal University of Pernambuco) and a Master in Economics from UnB (University of Brasília), Vieira dedicated a good part of his professional life to ANEEL, where he accumulated almost two decades of services.
At the Agency, he held positions in the entity's Market Studies Superintendence, between February 2003 and September 2007. Subsequently, he was an advisor to the ANEEL board from September 2007 to December 2014, before becoming the entity's superintendent at the beginning of 2015.
Between 1997 and 2003, Vieira also held positions in the Ministries of Mines and Energy, Health and Finance, always focusing on infrastructure issues.
