A Clamper, company specializing in the manufacture and sale of DPS (Surge Protection Devices), launched this month the Clamper Mobi IOT. The equipment consists of a energy consumption protection and management solution for EVs (electric vehicles).
The launch is focus on condominiums, as, for the most part, the electrical energy available in the garage area is for common use and divided equally among residents, which often makes it impossible to recharge EVs.
“Our solution gives the vehicle owner visibility regarding energy consumption and allows the property manager to manage the expenditure of each unit, dividing the value of electrical energy between residents according to each one’s consumption”, explained Manoel Francisco Lemos , research and development specialist at Clamper.
According to the company, the Clamper Mobi IOT, which has Wi-Fi connectivity, records electricity consumption and synchronizes data with the cloud. Data is accessed via an intuitive web platform.
In this case, the condominium manager can check the consumption of each unit in the current month and the history of previous months. “Our system also notifies the user if the surge protection needs to be replaced as it has reached the end of its useful life”, added Lemos.
The new product is available in Box and Plug versions, for use with wall and portable chargers. In addition to consumption management, all models protect the charger and the car against electrical surges, overloads, short circuits and electric shocks. The product is recommended to be installed in each space in the condominium.
Launch
The Mobi IOT Clamper was launched during the 27th edition of the Civil Construction Fair (Feicon 2023), held between April 11th and 14th, in São Paulo. The main event aimed at the civil construction and architecture markets in Latin America, the fair is considered, according to the company, a great showcase of the national market, which brings together prominent companies and specialists in the segment.
According to Rodrigo Maia, Clamper's Marketing Manager, the company brought solutions for the entire home to the stand. “Our participation in a fair with a diverse audience, such as Feicon, is extremely fundamental, since DPS are products for different environments in different sectors; They are a solution for the home, for business, for the environment, for the world.”
