More and more Brazilian consumers want to generate their own energy to avoid continuous high electricity bills. Furthermore, the number of people who are interested in storing this energy produced by solar sources is growing. This is the analysis of Carlos Trotta, Country Manager Brazil and Latin America at the inverter manufacturer Sunways.

The executive highlights the expansion of solar energy in Brazil and the expectations of consumers and investors regarding the useful life of photovoltaic equipment.

“That’s what I call the solar revolution. With this growth, immense earning opportunities open up. However, in this race we find situations that we have to reflect on for the evolution and maturation of the area in Brazil”, he stated during his presentation on the panel “How to choose a supplier of on-grid and hybrid inverters for the future in the present?” at the 12th edition of the GD Sudeste Forum.

“With the aim of reducing costs, and mainly believing in what we present, both investors who wish to contribute to the construction of a large solar farm, as well as thousands of families, expect their equipment to have a useful life of at least 25 years” , commented when considering the warranty period for photovoltaic equipment.

But how to identify the manufacturer for the projects? According to him, when choosing a supplier, distributors and importers need to consider three characteristics regarding brands: credibility, efficiency and agility.

“Sunways has been a key player in the residential, commercial and industrial sectors. We will be able to better reach our customers locally and globally with high-quality products, shorter delivery times and excellent service experience,” he emphasized.

Trotta also highlighted that in addition to choosing a good supplier and reliable equipment, professionals in the solar sector need to invest in training. “Even if there are millions in investments in technology for the safety and efficiency of a brand’s equipment, everything ends with a poorly designed and poorly installed project”, highlighted the executive.

“That's why we have to take advantage of all this strength we have among installers and distributors and think about training as part of market cooperation in order to achieve a common result: transforming the solar area into a mature and solid market for another 25 years. And this can only be achieved with training”, concluded Trotta.
