Santa Catarina consumers benefit from solar energy kits

The expectation is that with these practices families will save up to 20% on their energy bill

Celesc (Centrais Elétricas de Santa Catarina) returned with the Energia do Bem project, which includes consumers registered as electricity dependent and beneficiaries of the Social Energy Tariff with the supply of photovoltaic kits.

In addition to the delivery of equipment, old lamps are also replaced with LEDs. The expectation is that with these practices families will save up to 20% on their energy bills.

Suspended for seven months due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the program aims to promote sustainability for consumers registered as low income with Celesc, aiming to save electricity and reduce demand at peak times.

According to Celesc, 145 photovoltaic kits will be installed. The company 3E Engenharia is responsible for the verification and technical analysis of UCs (consumer units).

Energy for Good Project

This project serves consumers registered as low income with Celesc, who are selected in municipalities based on technical and social criteria. According to Celesc, many of these consumers depend on medical equipment that needs to be permanently connected to the network.
