Crea-SP resumes services this Wednesday after cyber attacks

Associates who had data leaked are being notified and receiving guidance via email or letter

O Crea-SP (Regional Engineering and Agronomy Council of São Paulo) resume, this Wednesday (14), the services available in CreaNet after have been the target of two cyber attacks. 

According to the entity, all professionals who had their data leaked are being communicated by email or letter, with the necessary guidance related to what happened.

O Crea-SP also reported that took steps to map and resolve the vulnerability of its security system since the day of the first attack suffered, on Tuesday last week (6). 

“To ensure even more security, professionals will be directed to a registration update page when accessing the system”, explained Adriana Bastos Leme, Data Protection Officer at Crea-SP.

Crea-SP was the target of two cyber attacks last week: one on Tuesday and another on Thursday. On its official website, as reported by Canal Solar, the organization reported that part of its database was compromised and that member information was leaked during hacking.

The communication was made on Monday (12) at a time when the entity's website remained offline as a security measure. According to the agency, an incident was registered with the Federal Police and the Digital Crimes Police Station, which is investigating the crime.
