DAH Solar breaks TOPCon cell production record

Company also plans expansion with new ingot production factory

The module manufacturer DAH Solar announced that its TOPCon solar cell manufacturing base, located in the city of Chaohu, China, in just 23 days, it reached a conversion efficiency of more than 25.4%.

Furthermore, they highlighted that the production yield exceeded 97%. “This result broke records, making the company one of the biggest powers in the industry.”

Another point highlighted by the company is that, at the beginning of the month, signed a contract with the Jinzhong Development Zone and the China Three Gorges Corporation for the construction of a manufacturing base in Shanxi, in China.

The agreement provides 7 GW of N-type silicon wafers It is 7 GW of N-type cell production capacity high efficiency, with a total investment of about RMB 2 billion.

According to William Xie, president of the company, the strategic cooperation further consolidates the manufacturer's development base over the next five years, which will increase vertical production capacity and global competitiveness.

“The three parties will make every effort to achieve their respective advantages, strengthen in-depth cooperation in industry, technology and market,” Xie highlighted.

“The idea is to promote the high-quality development of the regional economy, jointly help the photovoltaic industry to reduce costs and increase efficiency, contributing to the achievement of the objective of achieving carbon neutrality”, he concluded.

Brazilian market

According to DAH Solar, Brazil is currently the company's main market, and the new factory can benefit customers in the country.

“For us, the Brazilian market is a priority, being one of the main destinations for our products. In this way, our customers are receiving the most modern in terms of product and manufacturing technology”, said Felipe Santos, LATAM Sales Director.
