You Brazilian deputies are receiving a large number of complaints pointing out irregularities of distributors of electrical energy, especially in non-compliance with deadlines for distributed micro and mini generation connections.

On Wednesday (6), the Consumer Protection Committee of the Chamber of Deputies discussed the issue of missing deadlines when connecting DG systems (distributed generation) and the problems caused by distributors with flow reversal.
According to a survey by the ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) ombudsman, questions involving the topic were the second largest source of consumer complaints in September. The lack of energy continues to lead this ranking.
“In the last 12 months, there were 16,610 complaints related to the connection of microgeneration”, stated deputy Jorge Braz (Republicanos-RJ), who asked for the hearing to be held.

Since ANEEL regulated the Law 14,300/2022, through Resolution 1,059, several companies in the solar energy sector began to record losses and even close their doors.
According to professionals, distributors would be making it difficult to install photovoltaic systems by improperly using Article 73 of the new Resolution.

The complaint that the concessionaire was engaging in unfair competition in the state with projects in the solar energy sector also still generates criticism from the photovoltaic sector, which demands greater transparency from the concessionaires in the analysis of failed processes and from the competent authorities a solution to the problem.
For the president of INEL (National Institute of Clean Energy), Heber Galarce, the actions of distributors have generated major economic and social impacts.

What always existed – and which is sensible and correct – was for distributors to allege disturbances in the network. Disorder, okay. Now say that the flow reversal causes a disturbance? Where are you saying this if never before has a single distributor even claimed this?”, Lafayette highlighted.
