A DMEGC Solar announced that its factory of Sihong, located in China, was recently awarded the “Best Practice Award in Carbon Neutrality” and the “Carbon Neutrality Popularity Award” by TÜV SÜD.

According to the company, the venture has stood out by integrating energy conservation and emissions reduction into all aspects of its operations.

“TÜV SÜD’s recognition emphasizes the manufacturer’s success in optimizing production processes, improving energy efficiency, using clean energy and recycling practices. These efforts resulted in a significant reduction in carbon emissions during the production of photovoltaic modules”, they highlighted.

Currently, the installed capacity of photovoltaic energy distributed in DMEGC Solar's production bases has reached 51.46 MW. Furthermore, they achieved 100% of green energy consumption in the production of panels, generating a positive impact equivalent to the reduction of 15,211 tons of carbon dioxide, “which corresponds to planting 1.22 million trees or going around the Earth 1,800 times”, explained the company.

Factory certified with zero carbon emissions

In October last year, they stated that the Sihong factory received the world's first zero-carbon factory certification in the photovoltaic industry, granted by TÜV SÜD.

This certification highlights that the enterprise offset 99% of its greenhouse gases, obtaining 100% of its electricity from renewable sources. “This attests to DMEGC Solar’s commitment to meeting the Type I four-star zero carbon factory standard,” they emphasized.

Tests and competitive advantages

The company also noted that it is one of the few to pass the rigorous IEC TS 63209-1:2021 prolonged stress tests, demonstrating the reliability of the products. Furthermore, the PFAS-free certification confirms the superior safety of the equipment.

Regarding competitive advantages in the global market, according to the company, these are evident in the SA8000 certified factories, transparent supply chain, excellent ESG performance, healthy financial situation and a mature localization team.

“Winning the awards is another milestone in DMEGC Solar’s journey towards a more sustainable future, reinforcing its commitment to environmental responsibility and continuous advancement in the renewable energy industry”, concluded the manufacturer.
