Unprecedented edition of Casa Cor Curitiba will feature solar energy

Paraná's main architecture and design event features a walkway covered with solar panels
Edição inédita da Casa Cor Curitiba contará com energia solar

The photovoltaic solution is increasingly present in the daily lives of Brazilians, from a solar energy system in homes to facade cladding on buildings. With this in mind, the 27th edition of Casa Cor Curitiba features, for the first time, the use of solar energy to show the public the advantages of this clean and sustainable source.

With approximately 38 meters, the walkway that connects the entrance to the property has a roof that integrates 36 Amerisolar 400W modules and a Fronius Symo 12k inverter. The estimate is that 1,415.62 kWh will be generated monthly.

The installation is the result of a partnership between Casa Cor and L8 Energy, a distributor of photovoltaic equipment. “The beginning of this great partnership happened in 2019, when Casa Cor was already looking for partners who could introduce sustainability differences into the event. Although the 2020 event has been postponed, we continued our conversation and now this will come to fruition”, comments Guilherme Nagamine, executive director of L8 Energy.

According to the executive, the catwalk will continue to capture solar energy even after the event. “This system stops emitting 4.96 tons of CO₂ per year, which would be the amount of carbon dioxide that other energy sources would generate. And with this CO₂ saving in the system, we preserve 36 trees per year”, adds Nagamine.

Environment shows from backpack to solar umbrella

Casa Cor 2021 will also have an L8 space with a presentation of how the transformation of solar energy capture into electrical energy works. Furthermore, the company presents some products that it brought to Brazil, such as umbrellas, backpacks and solar lamps. Next to this environment, the public will also be able to see a demonstration of how a solar garage works.

“We know that the solar energy market is super hot and is a trend for buildings of the future. Therefore, being able to show more of our product to the Casa Cor audience is super important. Our goal is for more and more people to adopt clean energy and thus contribute to a more sustainable planet”, concludes Guilherme.

Casa Cor Curitiba continues until October 17, 2021, from Tuesday to Saturday from 1pm to 9pm and on Sundays and holidays from 1pm to 8pm at the Antigo Aquacenter Batel, located at Rua Álvaro Alvim, 91, Seminário.
