Elera and sanitation companies form a partnership in a self-production project

A Iguá Saneamento signed a partnership with Elera Renewable Energies for the supply of 50MW of Janaúba Complex for the next 15 years. O goal of the partnership is to reduce costs, promote sustainability and meet demands for social and environmental responsibility.

Currently, the Elera Energias Renováveis is a company in the photovoltaic energy segment which offers solutions in self-production of energy for partner companies in the sanitation segment. The Janaúba Complex has a total installed capacity of 1.2 GWp with an expansion process to 1.6 GWp.

As self-production model, companies achieve energy autonomy and operational efficiency. To this end, Elera develops solutions and products to meet the individual needs of customers.

Natascha Padis, director of Commercial and Marketing at Elera, highlights that self-production also reflects the commitment with the use of renewable energy and the search for a fair energy transition.  

Our goal is to help both the sanitation sector and other sectors to decarbonize the respective energy matrix in a competitive way, especially those intensive in electricity consumption”, he highlights.
