Businesspeople debate expansion of the solar sector in GO

Event will present business and investment opportunities for companies in the segment

Businesspeople, consultants, public authorities and experts will meet next Tuesday (5) for a series of debates in favor of expansion of the solar sector in Goiás and region. 

With the name of ABSOLAR Meeting, the event will discuss and present new business and investment opportunities for companies in the sector, both nationally and with a focus on regional development.

Carried out in Sesc Citizenship, the meeting will feature lectures with experts on advances in the solar sector in the region and in Brazil and panel debates on topics such as economic, environmental and social development based on photovoltaic solar sources, project financing models and the advancement of entrepreneurship in the segment.

According to data from ABSOLAR (Brazilian Association of Photovoltaic Solar Energy), the state of Goiás already has more than R$ 2.3 billion in investments, generating more than 13.8 thousand jobs. The city of Goiânia It has 72 MW of installed solar energy capacity, which serves around 7,600 consumer units.

The territory of Goiás currently has 34,900 solar connections on roofs and small plots of land, which are responsible for supplying more than 45,000 consumer units, for a total of 460 MW of installed power. 

The ABSOLAR Meeting's proposal is to collaborate with companies in generating new business and professional development, in addition to expanding relationships and networking between suppliers, integrators, manufacturers and customers that make up the solar energy production chain in Goiás and the country. 

The activities will take place from 9am to 6pm in person, with all health safety protocols being followed. The event is free for ABSOLAR members and is open to the general public with a registration fee of R $100. Registration and more information can be found at site of the event.
