A solar energy has presented a robust performance in Brazil, so much so that the ONS (National System Operator) registered more two new production records in the Northeast.
“On the 28th and 29th of June, the marks of 9,598 MW and 9,760 MW were verified, respectively. The highest was measured at 12:13 pm, with this generation corresponding to 84.5% of the energy demand in the region at that time. The highest previous record was 9,349 MW, on May 13th”, wrote the ONS in a press release.
In 2024, solar energy has already recorded eight production records, with six in the Northeast region and two others in the SIN (National Interconnected System)
“The highest SIN mark was registered in March, with 28,116 MW, which represented 30.5% of energy generation in Brazil. Previously, the highest measurement had been 27,909 MW, in January”, concluded the ONS.
