A Eneva announced this Tuesday (09) the signing of a agreement to supply energy to the industrial gases group White Martins through the Futura I Solar Complex, located in the municipality of Juazeiro (BA).
O contract provides for the delivery of 100.6 average MW power for the next 12 years, from 2023 to 2035, with a total amount to be received by Eneva of R$ 2.28 billion, adjusted over the course of the contract by IPCA.
For White, the agreement will allow it to increase the supply of “green products”, which are industrial gases obtained from renewable sources, with low or no carbon content.
For Eneva, the contract means the guarantee of long-term supply with a large client, at a time when the energy transition is gaining more and more relevance in Brazil and around the world.
A partnership between the two companies was approved in March this year. Eneva's photovoltaic park in Bahia began operating in the fourth quarter of last year.
With 671 MW of installed capacity, Futura 1 was originally a Focus Energia project, which was purchased by Eneva. The project has been completed and is currently in test operation.
O solar complex It occupies an area equivalent to 1,550 football fields, with around 1.5 million solar panels. However, the enterprise has expansion prospects, as the Futura II and Futura III parks (still without a date for entry into operation) will be able to add 2.3 GW of installed capacity to the complex.
