The donation of a photovoltaic system to Escola Vidigal, a social project by artist Vik Muniz, was the way in which executive Marco Krapels, global vice-president of expansion, chose to announce the arrival of the microinverter manufacturer in Brazil.

According to the company, listed on Nasdaq – the North American automated stock market – and worth US$ 22.6 billion, the equipment will be imported from its factory, located in Mexico.

“Brazil is the fifth largest market for residential solar. We have 55% in the American segment and our goal is to reach 25% in two years”, said Krapels, who was previously vice president of Tesla.
