More and more companies are investing in the Brazilian photovoltaic sector. This time, it's Enphase's turn, which operates in the American residential solar energy market, with a 55% share.

The donation of a photovoltaic system to Escola Vidigal, a social project by artist Vik Muniz, was the way in which executive Marco Krapels, global vice-president of expansion, chose to announce the arrival of the microinverter manufacturer in Brazil.
According to the company, listed on Nasdaq – the North American automated stock market – and worth US$ 22.6 billion, the equipment will be imported from its factory, located in Mexico.
Enphase, founded in 2006, has been trying to enter Brazilian territory for about a year. In this case, the first integrator to sell the company's solutions in the country is Solstar.
“Brazil is the fifth largest market for residential solar. We have 55% in the American segment and our goal is to reach 25% in two years”, said Krapels, who was previously vice president of Tesla.
Solar energy grows in Brazil
The installed solar power capacity in Brazil grew by approximately 40% this year, according to a survey carried out by Solar Channel, based on data from ABSOLAR (Brazilian Photovoltaic Solar Energy Association).
