The inverter manufacturer Fronius presented, during Intersolar South America 2021, the Wattpilot line – intelligent charging technology for electric vehicles that can be connected to a photovoltaic system.
The charger has a portable Go version, for charging in places outside the home, and a Home version with 11 kW of charge, to be installed in the garage and which can be supplied via the photovoltaic system or via a conventional mains socket.
According to Fronius, there is still no scheduled date for the chargers to be sold on the Brazilian market.
The Tauro line of inverters, which are aimed at large power plants, was also exhibited at the fair. According to the manufacturer, the line has greater power and low maintenance costs.
The equipment is available on the market in the 50 kW version and in the Tauro ECO model of 50 and 100 kW. Furthermore, the inverters have AC Daisy Chaining technology, allowing the inverters to be connected in a chain, interconnecting up to 200 kW.
Another Fronius highlight at the event was the GEN24 Plus line of hybrid residential inverters, which operate connected to the electricity grid and allow energy storage through the use of battery banks. The equipment is available in ranges from 3 to 6 kW.
