Fronius promotes event to discuss main challenges in the solar sector

FSP Day aims to train partners and update them on the news the company offers

The manufacturer of photovoltaic inverters Fronius launched FSP Day, an event where partners from Fronius from Brazil meet to discuss the main challenges and demands of the moment.

The Brazilian photovoltaic market has shown great growth and development of new technologies. With the arrival of users who need to manage the energy they produce from sunlight, known as “prosumers”, the manufacturer announced new challenges to be overcome.

Furthermore, the entry of the new regulatory framework for solar DG (distributed generation), which determines the pricing of electricity released into the public grid for installations made from 2023 onwards, predicts possible changes in the market.

The event, launched this year, brought together Top 50 partners and, among them, integrators of the FSP (Fronius Solution Partner) program and technical support FSP+ (Fronius Solution Partner Plus) of the five Brazilian regions.

According to the company, training professionals is the priority purpose of the initiative, as well as updating them in regarding news that the company offers to the solar sector.

Fronius Brasil completes 10 years in the solar division and plans expansion

The meeting promotes an exchange of information among experts, which contributes to the growth of the segment, training professionals with greater qualifications. “The Brazilian market is experiencing a 'boom'. From our experience in other countries, we have seen that this growth often ends up overwhelming end users due to lack of information.”

“And when sales are based only on catalogs and technical sheets, there is a lot of relevant data that is not passed on to the customer”, observes Andrés Loaiza-Espinosa, executive director of Fronius Brasil.

According to the businessman, training partners is an important and necessary investment. “We consider it very important to invest in the training of our partners.

“The idea is to ensure that our value chain, which involves everything from supplying equipment to implementing ideas and solutions, is passed on to the end user, so that they maintain satisfaction with the Fronius system over the years”, he concluded.

Focus on 'prosumers'

A new segment in the solar energy sector has developed, being trend in Europe and in countries where energy generation is more consolidated.

According to Alexandre Rezende, business manager at Fronius Brasil, this new market model should be implemented in Brazil in the coming years, due to the new GD legislation, which introduces pricing for surplus electricity injected into the public grid in installations built from 2023 onwards.

“We are facing a new 'prosumer' market, in which more conscious consumers produce their own electricity from sunlight and also manage the generation system, to achieve energy efficiency with savings and less environmental impact”, comments Rezende.

The executive also highlights that the first signs of market changes are already noticeable. “There is an increasing search for differentiation, both in the products and services provided.”

“For this reason, Fronius is ready to meet this demand technologically, with equipment equipped with intelligent resources to monitor consumption and control energy output into the grid”, he concludes.

According to the company, the new partner service project aims to prepare them so that they are able to provide pre- and post-sales technical support. This new operating system provides that the 'prosumer' will have any problem resolved in a short space of time, avoiding losses in energy generation.

The expectation for the coming years, according to Rezende, is to significantly increase the number of FSP and FSP+ and, with this, further expand the participation of these certified representatives in the brand's installed base.
