Enterprises of solar energy in centralized generation should generate more than R$ 90 billion in investments and more 570 thousand jobs in Brazil by 2026. This is what data presented by ABSOLATE (Brazilian Photovoltaic Solar Energy Association) to Minister of Mines and Energy, Alexandre Silveira.

In meeting carried out with the head of the Department Last week, the association argued that photovoltaic generation through large plants will also be a key part of the production of green hydrogen, as it is the most competitive renewable source on the market.

During the meeting, ABSOLAR also highlighted that the distributed micro and minigeneration plants They could also bring more than R$ 86.2 billion in benefits to Brazilian society by 2031, helping to lower consumers' electricity bills by at least 5.6% over the period.

Another topic discussed in the conversation with the minister was the use of solar energy in Federal Government social programs, such as the Minha Casa Minha Vida Program and the Luz para Todos Program.

Strategies to intensify the energy transition and the decarbonization of the Amazon, using solar energy systems with batteries to bring electricity to difficult-to-reach regions.
