Going to companies included monitoring the processes in the manufacture of equipment

With the aim of strengthen relationships with suppliers and verify the quality of the products in its portfolio, Genyx, an ecosystem in the solar energy sector, was present last week at the inverter factories of chint and from Solis and the microinverter manufacturing unit Hoymiles, located in China.

“The visits to Chint, Solis and Hoymiles were very pleasant. The staff is super open to new things and wanting to develop them. They yearn for innovations and seek to differentiate themselves so that they stand out in the Brazilian market. These were two very strategic visits”, he reported. André Hipólito, Director of Products and Technology at Genyx.

According to him, this trip to the companies included monitor equipment manufacturing processes, in addition to discussing sales strategies for the Brazilian market.

“The visit is a global meeting of distributors from all over the world, people from all over the world came from the United States, Mexico, Brazil, Europe and Asia. We like to visit our partners to discuss market positioning, both in Brazil and China. These visits add value because they have a lot of experience in the world, as they deal with all types of energy system markets different from Brazil”, comments Hipólito.

The Director of Products and Technology at Genyx also said that the meeting was also an opportune time to explain the needs of the solar sector in Brazil. “We brought a lot of news to our partners, such as Genyx's market positioning, so they can understand what our business model is and how we think about expanding solar energy in Brazil”, he reported.

According to him, Genyx's presence in the factories also aims to bring integrators closer to the brands they work with. “A visit here is much more than learning. It aims to bring the integrator closer to the manufacturer because I have the mission of passing on the information that is with the manufacturer to the integrator so that everything goes smoothly with the installation, because I want him to be a better installer”, he pointed out.

Hipólito also commented that manufacturers “who didn't bet on Brazil have now regretted it and are dying to negotiate with Brazil”. This occurs, according to him, because Brazil, together with countries in Europe and the USA, have demanded the production of photovoltaic equipment.

Another point highlighted by him is that the Chinese market is a great laboratory for validating applications that will soon be brought to the Brazilian market, such as batteries.

“In the European market, battery demand has been high and this is very beneficial for us because Brazil will have this demand soon and we take advantage of the results of studies carried out by manufacturers in the European market”, he assessed.

Genyx, like other Brazilian companies, traveled to China to participate in the SNEC PV Power Expo, the country's largest energy fair. The event will be held at the Shanghai International Convention Center from May 24 to 26, 2023, presenting news from Chinese and international companies related to the energy sectors.
